International Roadcheck is a 72-hour high-visibility, high-volume commercial motor vehicle inspection and enforcement initiative. Commercial motor vehicle inspectors will conduct North American Standard Inspections of commercial motor vehicles and drivers at weigh and inspection stations, on roving patrols, and at temporary inspection sites. The emphasis this year will be on Wheel Ends which include the wheels, rims, hubs and tires. Close to 10,000 CVSA-certified inspectors will be examining for cracks, leaks, inflation, tread, etc. Violations involving wheel components typically account for about 25 percent of all Roadcheck vehicle out-of-service violations. Examiners will also review drivers’ documents and credentials. Ensure your annual inspections are current and remind drivers to be prepared for exactly what inspectors will be scrutinizing. #trucks #NorthAmerica #Enforcement
